Skoda Kodiaq is not a known name in the Indian auto market and that’s because this new Skoda SUV has only recently stepped its foot in the international auto arena. Kodiaq has remained in the pipeline for close to four years before it was finally presented to the world on 2nd Sep 2016 in Berlin. For passengers utmost comfort, features like rear control panels, tri-zone climate control, and 140 mm measuring rear legroom are present. As for its boot capacity, with the third row down the car has 720 litres of luggage capacity and once the second row is also folded it expands to 2,065 litres. Kodiaq, when launched will be available in five interior trim options and will have three upholstery choices for consumers to choose from.

Providing the driver with adequate support and confidence, the car is blessed with features like the radar-based emergency auto braking system, adaptive cruise control and dynamic chassis control. Taking care of the entertainment and connectivity needs is present Skoda Connect that is available in two options – Care Connect and Infotainment Online. Also, in-line to the entertainment need is present 6.5-inch touch screen that supports Google Earth, WiFi Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, MirrorLink, Skoda SmartLink and serves as 360-degree cameras visual aid. Skoda Kodiaq Engine
Kodiaq engine lineup includes three mills in total, two being petrol and one diesel. The petrol variants get a 1.4-litre TSI and 2.0-litre TSI engine options. Further, the 1.4-litre TSI mill is available in two power tunings – 125 PS and 155 PS. While the 2.0-litre TSI is available in single tuning option of 180 PS. Like the 1.4 TSI, the 2.0 TDI is also available in two power choices – 150 PS and 190 PS. As for the transmission, all these mills will come paired to either a 6-speed manual or DSG gearbox depending on the trim. Also, leaving the 125 PS generating 1.4 TSI variant, rest all will feature an all-wheel drive system. The India specific Skoda Kodiaq is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre TDI diesel mill at first with petrol option to be introduced later.
