BSIV Compliant Honda Dio Launched In India

Extending its lineup in accordance to the BSIV lineup, Honda India has recently launched its new Dio in India. The BSIV Honda Dio is launched at a price tag of Rs 49,312 and has also received some cosmetic changes. Considering the power unit, it is the same 109.19 cc single cylinder, air cooled mull coupled to a V-matic gearbox, and now compliant to BSIV regulations. The maximum power is 8 hp at 7000 rpm while the peak torque is 8.91 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

The BSIV compliant Honda Dio has also shredded some weight and now measures 103 kg. The new Honda Dio has a ground clearance of 158 mm and a seat height of 765 mm. The new changes of Honda Dio include new graphics, restyled speedometer, new front apron with a LED position lamp, auto headlamp on and a mobile charging socket. The all-new Dio also gets 10-inch wheels and tubeless tyres with drum brakes at both ends. It also gets Honda’s combined braking system with an equalizer.

The new color options of 2017 Honda Dio include Pearl Sports Yellow, Matte Axis Grey, Candy Jazzy Blue, and Sports Red. Before, 2017 Dio, the scooter lineup was refreshed with the introduction of Aviator, and Activa 4G. Honda Dio has managed to gain a significant market share with its peppy design and sporty features and with new styling and BSIV complaint regulations, Dio will be able to gain a lot more attention. The scooter locks its horns with Mahindra Gusto, TVS Scooty Pep and Hero Maestro.

Just like Honda, other manufacturers are also gearing up to introduce their BSIV complaint lineup as the government has made it compulsory for all the two-wheelers to be BSIV compliant and Auto headlamp on feature. Let’s see which manufacturer is next to introduce the new model with BSIV compliance.
