BMW Motorrad Commences Its Operations In India

Entering a highly competitive market, BMW has recently announced the prices of its lineup. Yes, the German bike manufacturer has started its operations in the Indian market under the BMW group. The bike group is a part of the combined alliance of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brands. Earlier, the German bike maker used to import their bikes and used to sell through dealers based in Mumbai and Delhi.

The existing motorcycle division is currently governed by the BMW Group India and has dealer outlets which are established in Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad. The group will be headed by Shivapada Ray. The first dealership is set to launch on April 12, 2017 in Mumbai. But, ahead of its official launch, the manufacturer has revealed the prices of 11 motorcycles. The current lineup of the German bike maker include BMW S 1000 RR, BMW R 1200 RS, BMW R 1200 RT, BMW K 1600 GTL, BMW R 1200 R, BMW S 1000 R, BMW R NineT, BMW R NineT Scrambler, BMW R 1200 G S Adventure, BMW R 1200 GS, and the BMW S 1000 XR.

The much-awaited G 310 is not available in the lineup and will be added soon as the cheapest BMW motorcycle available in the market. According to Vikram Prakash, President, BMW Group India, “BMW bikes stand for passion, innovation, and safety. We urge our existing and prospective future consumers to be a part of their aspirational journey through riding. Also, we are committed to repeat the success story by making our existing models more advanced and improve the lineup by introducing latest models.”
