Recently, the sales report of Maruti-Suzuki revealed a growth of 13.9% in the month of July and now the manufacturer is also set for price hike of its newly launched cars. According to sources, Maruti Suzuki hikes prices upto 20,000. The particular hike for the compact SUV, Vitara Brezza will be INR 20,000 and for the Baleno, it will be INR 10,000. On a particular range, this price hike will be between INR 1500 and INR 5000, Maruti Suzuki India revealed in a regulatory filing.

When asked, about the particular price hike, the company informed that it is due to the increased demand in the segment, forex movements and strategic objectives of the company. In addition to this, the price hike is effective from Monday but, may not affect the previous bookings. Currently, Maruti Suzuki Baleno is offered between a price range of INR 5.23 lakh and INR 7.12 lakh (Ex-showroom) and now each variant will cost you INR 10,000 more. Talking about the Vitara Brezza, the compact SUV is offered between INR 7.2 lakh and INR 9.9 lakh (Ex-showroom) and now for any variant you need to shed INR 20,000 more.

The popularity of these two cars can be seen from the waiting time for both of these cars. For Baleno, the average waiting time in some cities is around 3-4 months. Whereas, for Vitara Brezza, this increases to 5-6 months. The impressive designing cues, powerful engine, a long list of features and comfort all together have contributed in increasing the demand for both of these cars.
