Toyota Innova Crysta Petrol Launched


Toyota India confirmed that Innova Crysta Petrol will be coming in the market on August 8 and guess what? The Innova Crysta Petrol is finally launched at a starting price of INR 13,72,800 (ex-showroom). And for Crysta Petrol top end variant, the customers have to shell out INR 19,62,300 (ex-showroom). Available in exclusive colors like White Pearl Crystal Shine, Garnet Red and Avant-garde Bronze, the overall design of the MPV is exactly like the diesel variant. Looking at the increasing regulations against bigger engine capacity diesel vehicles, introducing Petrol version of the much loved MPV might act as a smart step for the company.

The latest Innova Crysta Petrol is equipped with a 2.7-litre, 4-cylinder, Dual VVT-i engine which churns out a maximum power output of 163 hp and peak torque of 245 Nm. Coupled with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed gearbox, Toyota claims ARAI-certified fuel economy of 10.83 kmpl for automatic variant and 9.89 kmpl for the manual variant. The Gx trim is available with both manual and automatic transmission while Zx is restricted to automatic and Vx to manual. In addition to this, the Gx is available with 7 or 8-seating option while, Vx and Zx is available in 7-seater layout only.

Considering the features, there are no major changes and the top end Zx trim is equipped with 7-airbag, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), and Hill Start Assist Control (HSAC). While features like Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution System (EBD), Brake Assist, seatbelt pre-tensioners and ISOFIX are standard across all the variants. With the petrol variant, Innova Crysta marks its debut in the Delhi-NCR region and let’s see how the much loved MPV is able to perform with the petrol variant. With delivery being started from August 8, this is the second time when this MPV is introduced with petrol variant in the Indian market. The previously launched petrol variant was not able to gain much attention, the upgraded version is expected to gain a significant response.
