Toyota Etios And Etios Liva Revealed Ahead Of Its Launch

It was revealed that the facelift of Toyota Etios and Etios Liva will be launched this month on September 13. But, both the cars are revealed ahead of their launch. Considering the Toyota Etios, it is similar to the Brazilian Etios Platinum, and some of the notable changes include a redesigned front fascia with a new grille which is finished with chrome. Other changes include chrome foglight enclosures, new alloy wheels and re-profiled rear bumper. The new Etios will also feature chrome running strip on the boot lid and parking sensors.

Within the cabin, one would find an all-new instrument cluster, speedometer with chrome finish and a digital tachometer. Though the Toyota Etios has been updated in various aspects but still it is not as competent as other competitors available in the Indian market. Considering the entertainment front, the sedan continues to feature a 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth, AUX and USB compatibility. Under the hood, it is offered with two engine options: 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel, both these engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Considering the changes of Etios Liva, the hatchback will be quite similar to the sedan version. The Etios Liva also features a V-shaped grille but unlike the Etios, it does not have the chrome accents. The detailed specifications of the car will be revealed at the time of its launch on September 13. Considering the powermill of the hatchback, it will be offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine. It is likely that the engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The manufacturer has not revealed the pricing of the Etios Liva yet but it is expected to be around the existing version which is priced between INR 5.0 – 7.4 lakh.

Let’s see how the two cars perform on road once they are launched. The existing version of Toyota Etios and Etios Liva have not been able to gain much attention from the customers and as all the cars in the respective segments are getting updated with advanced features, Etios and Etios Liva are somewhere missing on some aspects that are essential for the Indian customers.
