Tata Hexa Specifications Revealed

One of the much awaited launch from the house of Tata is coming near and with that, the excitement of auto enthusiasts is also increasing. After a series of spied testing images, we have finally received the Tata Hexa Specifications. The upcoming SUV was spotted in a pre-launch drive in Jaipur, Rajasthan, as part of CEO Cricket Challenge event. Scheduled to go on sale in coming months, the Tata Hexa will be taking against the likes of Mahindra and Toyota.

According to the Tata Hexa Specifications sheet, the upcoming SUV will be featuring a 2179 cc, 4-cylinder, VARICOR 400 diesel engine. The maximum power output will be 154 hp at 4000 rpm and peak torque will be 400 Nm at 1700-2700 rpm. The engine will be further mated to either a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. The Hexa is a wide SUV and this is evident from the overall dimensions of the car which measure 4788 mm X 1903 mm X 1791 mm (L X W X H) and has a wheelbase of 2850 mm. With a ground clearance of 200 mm, the SUV will be pretty decent on off-roading terrain. But, actual comments can be done once it hit the roads.

Standing against its competitor, Mahindra XUV 500, the Hexa has taken the lead in terms of dimensions as the Mahindra XUV 500 is (-203 mm) in length, (-13 mm) in width, and (- 6 mm) in height. Further, Hexa has a fuel tank capacity of 60 litres. Braking is ensured by disc brakes on all the four wheels while at front the double wishbone type suspension with coil springs take the charge and at the rear it has a 5 link rigid axle with coil springs. The 19-inch alloy wheels with 235/55 section tyres of Tata Hexa further indicate towards the capabilities of this Tata’s SUV.

Let’s see how Tata will change the game in the respective segment, as Tata Hexa looks quite promising on papers.
