Tata Hexa To Be Launched In October

It looks like October is officially a launch month, as most of the automakers are set with their latest models to be introduced in the Indian market. In the series of upcoming launches Tata has also confirmed the launch of its much awaited upcoming SUV. Tata Hexa will be launched in the early October to gain the advantage of festivity in the country. The new Hexa is based on the same platform as the Aria, but has been refreshed completely to compete in the particular segment in an effective manner.

It looks like that Tata is working really hard to upgrade its models with latest features and advanced technologies and it is easily evident from the features list of Hexa. To begin with the SUV features 5.0-inch touch screen coupled with a reverse parking camera, Harman infotainment system, dual tone dashboard with premium finish. The instrument cluster gets a 3.5-inch TFT colour screen, displaying all the important information about the car. For entertainment purpose, this Tata SUV is equipped with 10-speaker setup by JBL specially developed for the Hexa, limited to only top end variants.

Under the hood, Tata Hexa will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine with 156.2 hp maximum power and peak torque of 400 Nm. This engine will be offered with an option of Automatic and Manual 6-speed transmission. This is the first time that any Tata model will be featuring four driving modes just like the ones in Land Rover models. To complement the sturdy styling of the SUV, Hexa features 19-inch alloy wheels and tyres measuring 235/55 R19.

This SUV will also feature Vehicle Dynamic Control, TCS, Engine Drag Control and a total of six airbags for occupants safety. Once launched, Tata Hexa will compete against the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta and will be priced around INR 12.9 lakh (ex-showroom). But, it will interesting to see how this new Tata car will challenge the Toyota’s dominance in the market.
