Skoda Kodiaq SUV Showcased At Geneva Motor Show 2017, India Launch Soon

One of the much-awaited SUVs from Skoda is finally showcased at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show 2017. Yes Skoda Kodiaq, which was showcased as a concept at last year’s show is now production ready. The SUV is all set to be introduced in the Indian market along with other markets.

Skoda has introduced its new design language into the SUV segment with Kodiaq. The Kodiaq is aggressive, and sporty at the same time. Thanks to a plenty of contoured surfaces in the front and the rear. The Skoda Kodiaq is 40mm longer than the new Octavia but offers more cabin space than most of its counterparts. In the cabin, the SUV is feature rich and plush. Some of the highlighting features include leather cover electronically adjustable front seats, heated/cooled front seats, ambient lighting, and different fabric option. It also gets a 6.5-inch touchscreen display and automatic climate control.

Under the hood options include two diesel and three petrol engines. The diesel option includes a 2.0-litre TDI engine which is available in two tunes – 150 PS & 340 Nm and 190 PS & 400 Nm. The petrol option has one 1.4-litre TSI engine which is offered in two tunes while the top of the line petrol engine is a 2.0-litre TSI. The smaller engine option delivers 125 PS & 200 Nm and 150 PS & 250 Nm while the bigger engine mill generates 180 PS maximum power and 320 Nm peak torque. All the engines are EU6 compliant. Transmission duties are handled by 6-speed manual, 6-speed DSG, and 7-speed DSG. Front wheel drive and 4×4 options are available with Kodiaq.

The launch date of the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq is not stated yet but, we expect that the SUV will make its way in the country by end of this year.
