The two-tone OVRMS and snazzy chequered graphics under the door handle are the only additional changes in the exterior styling while the rest of the aspects are kept similar to the 800cc Kwid. Even the interiors narrate the similar story and Kwid 1.0L gets dual-tone dashboard with a chrome-accentuated digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. The side aircon vents have received the chrome accents while the seat upholstery is done up in Champion Red.

Coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission the Kwid’s 1.0L automatic variant is also on its way and will make it in the market by the end of this year. The manufacturer claims a fuel efficiency of 23 kmpl with the new engine and let’s see what the real figures are, for that we need to wait for the real time experiences of the users.
With Kwid’s 1.0L entry in the market, the users will now have an additional option to choose from the entry level hatchbacks and the particular segment may get more competitors soon from the other prominent automakers as well.
