First revealed in the 2016 Beijing Auto Show, the Korean automaker has finally revealed the next-gen Hyundai Verna. The country will witness its official launch later this year. But, the current revelation by the company clears the fact that, this car is prepared to take the leading position in the segment. As the car is fully prepared and was showcased with proper badging of the company, Hyundai Verna may enter the market before the expected date.

The all-new Verna get a series of changes, where major of the changes lies in the exterior. The silhouette of the car is same as in the previous version but, there are some other tweaks in the styling. The company showcased a diamond grille in the concept model but the production model has received horizontal slats on the large hexagonal grille. The concept also showcased a sleeker pair of headlamps but, in the production model it is replaced by a larger wrap around cluster with black accents and LED lamps. Bumpers are not toned down and are not as big as in the current model and misses the large intakes showcased in the concept.

Dimensionally the Hyundai Verna measures 4380 mm X 1728 mm X 1460 mm (L x W x H) and the wheelbase measures 2600 mm. The all-new Verna side gets a smooth character line but the wheel arches have lost the sportiness which is there in the current version. The ORVM design is similar as in the present model and at higher variant chrome door handles will come as standard. In addition, Verna gets the new set of alloy wheels. In the rear of new Verna the sedan gets sleek wraparound tail lamps, large boot lid and well sculpted bumper.

Under the hood of Hyundai Verna, the global market will be offered with 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol units, churning maximum power of 100 bhp and 123 bhp respectively. But, for the Indian market, the manufacturer will continue the same petrol as well as diesel motors of the current model. Though Hyundai Verna is expected to be launched later this year, but it will be seen on the roads in the later half of 2017.
