Audi has always been a leader in premium class sedan segment in Indian automobile market. The popular Audi A series stands as a benchmark luxury sedan section and has been a tough competitor in the market. They tend to maintain the dominance in the market and hence, Audi has launched the new next-gen Audi A4 petrol variant. The new Audi A4 is said to be larger and spacious than the existing A4. The German automobile manufacturer Audi, is the only brand in India, to take advantage of the universal small turbo engines trend and introduce the TFSI technology.

This 1.4 litre Turbocharged fuel stratified injection petrol engine can generate a maximum power of 148 bhp and peak torque of 250 Nm. The existing model features the Audi’s all-wheel drive Quattro technology, while the next-gen Audi A4 is provided with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission which channels the power to the new front wheel drive system. In terms of keeping the car eco-friendly, Audi has done a great job and the car is successful in attaining the EU 6 emission standard. The new Audi A4 is much more elegant inside and does not possess the usual conventional dials, anymore. The new centre console looks more attractive and charming. It is more spacious and comfortable having more leg space for rear seat passengers.

The next-gen Audi A4 is launched at a price of 38.1 lakh (ex-showroom). Competitors of the same segment like Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Volvo S60 and BMW 3 Series might give Audi a tough fight, as they are more powerful than 1.4-litre Audi A4. But talking of fuel efficiency here, Audi would be leading the way by providing a better fuel economy of 17.84 kmpl. Let’s see how this new version of Audi A4 shakes the sales charts of the other automakers in the country. With Merc and Audi introducing new models in their lineup, we expect BMW to soon announce its new models for the country.
