One of the most stylish and fastest two-seater is about to unleash in the Indian market from the house of Mercedes-Benz. Yes, the Mercedes-Benz SLC 43 will be launching tomorrow for the Indian market. The first roadster for the Indian market which is marquee 43 will be the successor of the much acclaimed SLK55 AMG. Though, the SLC 43 will be replacing the SLK, but still it holds some similarities to the previous model. Some of the notable changes include new front bumper design, which now features big air intakes, a new set of headlights and a new diamond-pin front grille.

Other styling changes in the Mercedes-Benz SLC 43 include the revised rear bumper with integrated taillights and the 18-inch alloy wheels for a sportier look and better performance. Some technological advancements include 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, Garmin map pilot navigation and a gizmo-galore with blind spot assist. Surely, there will be a stack of other features packed in the SLC 43, and will be revealed, once it gets launched.

The major change which this roadster will bring with it will be the downsized engine. The Mercedes-Benz SLC 43 will be equipped with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, which produces a maximum power of 367 PS and peak torque of 520 Nm. Coupled with 9-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox, the roadster will take 4.7 seconds to hit the 100 kmph mark from naught and a top speed of 250 kmph. The manufacturer will also offer a ‘handling package’ that allows a mechanical limited-slip differential for the rear axle.

Once launched, the all-new Mercedes-Benz SLC 43 will compete against the Audi TT and BMW Z4. The SLK AMG has gained a significant name and sales figure in the market and it will be interesting to see how the new SLC 43 will make its position in the market.
