The wait is over, as the most stunning roadster has finally arrived on the Indian soil. Yes, the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 has been finally launched at a price tag of INR 77.5 lakh. As stated earlier, the latest SLC 43 is the replacement of the much acclaimed SLK but, the styling cues have some similarities to the previous model. The first AMG to feature with a 43 badge, the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 is introduced with a downsized engine.

Instead of a mighty 5.5-litre V8 mill, the new SLC 43 features a 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 engine with efficient engine management system. The new engine of SLC 43 is capable of producing a maximum power output of 367 PS and peak torque of 520 Nm, which is segment leading when compared to its closest rivals, Audi TT and BMW Z4. Coupled with a ‘9G- TRONIC’ 9-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifter, clocking 100 kmph mark will take just 4.7 seconds from null and will reach a top speed of 250 kmph.

The all-new AMG SLC 43 also features a steel suspension for better handling which is evolved for reduced body roll. Along with this, ‘Dynamic Select’ function further helps in giving you a better driving experience, as it enables to alter the suspension behaviour on the driving scenario. SLC 43 is also packed with ‘handling package’ which helps in giving limited – slip differential for the rear axle. Considering the features of Mercedes-AMG SLC 43, the flat bottomed, multi function leather wrapped steering wheel, AMG Nappa leather / Dynamic microfiber upholstery for the sports seats and finely finished dashboard is standard.

The roadster’s AMG instrument clusters sports a 4.5-inch multi-information display and a race timer to give you a performance oriented ride experience on road. The other features include 7-inch infotainment system with ‘Linguatronic’ voice command system, Bluetooth connectivity, DVD player and Internet radio.
