Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Plus Launched In India At Rs 3.40 Lakh

Further making the Alto lineup strong in the entry level hatchback segment, Maruti-Suzuki has added another variant. Yes, Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Plus is launched in India at a starting price of Rs 3.40 lakh (ex-showroom). With K10 Plus version, the Alto offers better value for money features.

The Alto K10 Plus is only available in VXi trim level. The notable features of the new version include enhanced rear spoiler, chrome beltline, door molding, fog lamps, chrome accented wheel arches, body colored door handles, body colored ORVMs and reverse parking sensors on the outside. The features of the cabin are central locking system, front power windows and piano finished audio system.

Under the hood, there are no significant changes and the hatchback is powered by a K10B 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which delivers 68PS maximum power at 6000 rpm and 90 Nm peak torque at 3500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The option of an automatic transmission is also available with the K10 Plus version. With either of the transmission option, the fuel economy delivered by Alto K10 Plus measures 24.07 kmpl.

The current lineup of Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 includes Lx, Lx (O), Lxi, Lxi (O), Vxi and Vxi (O) with price starting at Rs 3,27,090 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Apart from petrol version, the Alto K10 is also available in CNG variants which have a starting price of Rs 4,06,258 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Let’s see how the new version of the Alto performs in a segment which is currently facing a tough competition due to the introduction of Renault Kwid, Datsun Redi-Go, and Hyundai Eon. The lack of airbags in the model might be a reason for concern as most of the users have started giving attention to safety measures.
