After XE and XJ, the Tata owned Jaguar is all set to introduce its next updated premium sedan in the Indian market and before its official launch the manufacturer has revealed the specifications of Jaguar XF on its website. The sedan will be available in three trim level: Pure, Prestige and Portfolio and all the variants will be offered with an 8-speed automatic gearbox with rear wheel drive system. For Indian market, the manufacturer is offering only a single engine with both diesel and petrol option. All the three trims will be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel unit which will churn out a maximum power of 180 hp and peak torque of 430 Nm.

Clocking 0-100 kmph mark will take approximately 8.1 seconds and the top speed will measure around 250 kmph. The petrol option is being offered in the Prestige and Portfolio trims and the 2.0-litre petrol mill of Jaguar XF is capable of producing 240 hp maximum power and 340 Nm peak torque. With petrol mill, one can hit the 100 kmph mark from naught in just 7.0 seconds while the top speed remains to be the same. In addition to this, the three trims of Jaguar XF will also feature four driving modes: Standard, Dynamic, Eco or Rain/Ice/Snow mode, all these modes help in regulating the throttle and the gearbox according to the terrain condition.

The list of features for Pure trim include, 8-inch touch screen infotainment system, 17-inch alloy wheels, bi-functional xenon headlamps and electronically adjusted front seats. The Prestige trim will further get additional perforated leather seats with memory function for the driver seat and the top end trim, Portfolio will get 14-way electrically adjustable front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights.
When launched, it will be heading against the BMW 5-series, Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and Volvo S60 and is expected to arrive in the market by the end of this year.
