The all-new Elantra has been manufactured with 53% Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) that results into higher structural rigidity. 2017 Hyundai Elantra will be 20mm longer, 25 mm wider than the current generation. The overall dimensions of the executive sedan will measure 4610 mm X 1800 mm X 1450 mm (L X W X H) and wheelbase, 2700 mm. At front, the Elantra will now feature sharp sweptback headlamps with projector unit and daytime LED running lights. The hexagonal front grille with boomerang shaped air intakes on the bumper and LED fog lamps further accentuates the front. Considering the side profile, it is quite small as compared to existing model. But, it is much sporty due to prominent character lines, alloy wheels and sharp ORVMs integrated turn lights.

Under the hood, new Elantra will feature 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. It is also expected that the new Hyundai Elantra will also feature a 2.0-litre petrol engine. All the engine options will be mated to a 6-speed automatic/ manual transmission.
