Hyundai is already gaining a hell lot of appreciation for its SUV segment car, Creta. To further enhance its reach and to put an end to its so-called high price tag, the company has now launched the more affordable Hyundai Creta S+ Diesel AT variant. The new Creta Diesel Automatic variant is launched with a price tag of INR 13.56 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Well, this new Creta though is expensive from the already available 6-speed manual S+ variant, but now by pouring in a little extra you get an automatic version of the same. Thus, this new addition in the Creata family becomes the second most expensive trim, following rightfully behind Creta SX+ Diesel AT (INR 14.51 lakh).

The reason for introducing S+ Diesel AT trim according to us is the growing demand for automatic transmission system in cars. Well, before diesel powered Creta S+ AT launch, the automatic gearbox in Creta was only restricted to petrol and diesel SX+ variants. According to sources, the car commands a good two months waiting period and can be booked at all metro cities Hyundai dealerships.

As for the amenities, the launched model showcased gadgets like 7-inch touch screen audio system, six high-end speakers, 1GB HDD and Bluetooth streaming. On the safety end, the new Creta Diesel automatic variant is topped with features like Anti-lock Braking system, dual airbag and fog lamps.

The new Creta S+ Diesel AT variant though matches the top-end SX+ trim on the gearbox front. But when it comes to features, its list is a bit small and lacks attributes like rear wiper, dual tone grille, and projector headlamp on the exterior. As for interior, it misses out on comforting features like automatic climate control system and push start-stop button.

Hyundai Creta S+ Diesel AT houses a 1.6 litre CRDi mill under its hood that generates 126 bhp of power and 256 Nm of torque. It is able to give away such powerful numbers due to the Variable Geometry Turbo system. Looks like there is no stopping for Hyundai and it wants to make the most out of its success kid, the Creta.
