It looks like Hyundai is on a spree to update its ‘urban SUV’, the Creta. Few days back the South Korean automaker introduced the Creta S+ Diesel AT model and now it is all set to introduce Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition in the Indian market. And now to celebrate the first anniversary of the much loved Creta, the automaker is working on a special edition of the compact SUV. To keep the enthusiasts updated, Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition price and specifications have been revealed by the automaker.

The Hyundai Creta Special Edition model will be similar to the SX+ variant. The Anniversary Edition will be available in Polar White colour with a black spoiler and roof. The bright silver skid plates, body graphics and bold 17-inch alloy wheels are further changes that Creta will feature. Inside the cabin, Creta Anniversary Edition gets a black dashboard with red accents, fabric upholstery with red inserts and a leather wrapped steering wheel, which all together aggrandize the sporty feel of the compact SUV.

Under the hood, there are no changes and the Anniversary Edition continues to feature the same powertrain as that of SX+ trim. The 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine, delivering 121 -126 hp of maximum power and peak torque of 151 – 259 Nm. Further coupled with 6-speed manual transmission, and there is no confirmation on the automatic transmission by the manufacturer. On the pricing front, the Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition petrol will be tagged at INR 12,50,717, while the diesel variant will hold a tag of INR 14,06, 961 (both prices ex-showroom).
With this price tag, the Creta Anniversary Edition will be approximately INR 39,000 more expensive than the existing SX+ variant. Let’s see how the special edition performs on the sales chart once it is on offer by the manufacturer.
