Honda Brio Facelift Spotted On Dealerships Before Its Launch

Expected to launch in coming few months, Honda Brio has already made its way to the Honda dealerships. Yes, Honda Brio Facelift has been spotted on dealership ahead of its launch. This is the first time, Honda Brio facelift has been spotted on the Indian soil without any camouflage. The global debut of Brio facelift was made at the IIMS 2016 in Indonesia on April 7 and the spotted model is exactly same as seen in the auto show.

The upcoming Brio now holds a sportier front with larger air radiator intakes, round fog lamps, faux intakes and bolder front grille with chrome finish at the bottom. While, the front has received some minor changes, the alloy wheels and rear has been kept same just as the existing version. But, there are some significant changes within the cabin, as the new Brio will feature a new dashboard, with all black and faux silver finish and integrates matte plastic along with piano black trim materials. Though the interior has been inspired from the new Amaze and BR-V but, the instrument panel has not received the larger MID screen and FE meter.

The notable changes include bigger dials in the instrument panel, automatic climate control, Honda Mobile Connect Services, steering mounted audio controls and an all-new 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth and phone streaming features, just like the existing model. Under the hood, there are no major changes and the Brio facelift will continue to feature a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that delivers 88 PS maximum power and 109 Nm peak torque. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox and it is still not clear if the Japanese automaker will replace the automatic transmission with CVT.

Currently, Honda Brio is positioned against the Hyundai i10, Tata Tiago, Mahindra KUV100 and Maruti Suzuki WagonR and let’s see how the facelift of Brio bring some change in the market share of all these brands in the particular segment.
