Ford Mustang Launched In India At INR 65 Lakhs

Finally, the Indian market gets its first muscle car, as Ford Mustang has been finally launched today in the country. The legacy of 52 years is now finally in Indian market and auto freaks are going ga-ga about it. The iconic pony car from Ford has been into its sixth-generation and is presented with a mighty 5.0-litre V8 engine under the hood. Initially showcased in the 2016 Delhi Auto Show Ford Mustang was the show stopper at the expo. Ford promised to launch it in the second half of the year and it stayed true to its words.

Ford Mustang will be only available with range-topping V8 5.0-litre engine capable of delivering maximum power of 395.5 hp and 515 Nm peak torque. These figures are quite less due to detuning as to what the engine delivers in the US market. The all-new Mustang disperse the power to the rear wheels by a six-speed SelectShift automatic gearbox. The paddle shifters further improves the overall riding experience of this American muscle car. The new Mustang GT also gets four driving modes – Norman, Sport+, Track, and Snow/Wet which one can opt according to the requirement.

The new Mustang has retained its brawny looks along with the muscle styling. The aggressive front sections, short overhangs, and muscular character lines all together give this pony car a unique touch. The side profile of the car along with the long hood reflects the imposing stance. Whereas, the coupe-like roof line, and 19-inch wheels further accentuates the styling in an effective manner. At the rear, the three-dimensional tri-bar LED tail lamps and GT Badge on the glossy badge highlights the prowess.

The cabin of Mustang GT is draped in all-black interior with heated/cooled leather seats, making it suitable for everyone. On features front Ford Mustang holds an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with SYNK2 and dual zone HVAC system. Further the new Mustang also features adaptive cruise control, reversing camera, rear diffuser, rain sensing wipers and dual front airbags with additional curtain, side impact, and knee airbags for safety.
