Adding another member to its high-class fleet, BMW India has introduced another variant in the BMW 5 Series. The German manufacturer has launched the BMW 520d M Sport at a price tag of INR 54 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Previously, the M-Sport package was available with more powerful 530d, but now BMW has introduced the sportiness of M-package in the 520d model as well. The M-Sport body kit features large air-inlets, gloss black accents instead of chrome, M badge on the front wing, LED Adaptive headlights and 18-inch M light alloys.

Moving inside the cabin, one can witness sports seats with electronic control for passenger and driver, M multi-function steering wheel, aluminium hexagon interior trim strip and BMW individual headliner Anthracite. Further to add in the feature list, is the standard 25.9 cm high resolution screen which features BMW Navigation system professional with 3D maps. For now the car is available in either Alpine White or the metallic Mediterranean Blue and Carbon Black paint jobs, and there are no signs if company will introduce more color options.
The BMW 520d M Sport is powered by a 1995cc 4-cylinder, common rail turbocharger diesel engine which churns out maximum power of 190 hp and peak torque of 400 Nm. Coupled with 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, the BMW 520d M Sport can hit 100 kmph mark from naught in 7.7 seconds and hits the top speed of 233 kmph. The BMW Efficiency-Dynamics technology, Intelligent Lightweight Construction, Auto Start-Stop and ECO PRO modes, Brake-Energy Regeneration and 50:50 weight distribution, all contributes to the improved fuel efficiency of this BMW Sedan.
