The point of attraction would be the 1.4-litre Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine which will make the performance of this hatch class apart in the segment, delivering 140 PS maximum power at 5,500 rpm and peak torque of 220 Nm at 1500-4000 rpm. The same engine is equipped in the Vitara S and is expected to be coupled with 6-speed manual transmission in the Swift Sport. Apart from the boosterjet engine, it may be also offered with a 1.0-litre turbo or a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated power unit. Though, the car has been spotted with heavy camouflage, some of the notable changes that are visible include dual exhaust outlets, bigger air dams, and body skirts compared to the stock version.

The rear door handles which are shifted next to the rear window glass is another major change which is visible in the spied images. It looks like door handle positioning is inspired from the Chevrolet Beat, which is another prominent hatchback in many markets. In the interior, one can expect all the basic amenities like a decent 2-DIN audio system, air conditioning facility, premium finish dashboard and steering wheel, comfortable leather covered seats and for detailed specs we have to wait till the upcoming Paris Motor Show.

The 2016 Paris Motor Show will be host of many new launches and let’s see along with 2017 Suzuki Swift, which segment might get a surprise launch as well.
