2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo And Turbo Executive Launched

In order to update its executive and sporty lineup with the latest version, the German automaker has introduced its 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo and Panamera Turbo Executive in India. The 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo is priced at Rs 1.93 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) whereas, the Panamera Turbo Executive is tagged at Rs 2.06 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The executive versions is basically an enlarged version of the Turbo and feature 150 mm longer wheelbase for improved rear passenger space.

Under the hood, the Panamera Turbo is powered by a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 550 hp maximum power and 770 Nm peak torque. These figures are 30 hp and 70 Nm more than the previous generation version. Clocking 100 kmph from zero will take just 3.8 – 3.6 seconds while the top speed for both the models rests at 306 kmph. Power to all the four wheels is transmitted through eight-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual clutch automatic gearbox. Just like the standard Panamera, the 2017 Panamera Turbo and Turbo Executive also comes with four driving modes – Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual.

In terms of design, the 2017 Panamera Turbo and Turbo Executive share their styling cues with the 911 series, especially the rear profile. In the cabin, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with latest-generation Porsche Communication Management System is incorporated. Whereas, the other features of the cabin include panoramic tilt roof, massage seats, ambient lighting, 3D high-end sound system from Burmester and a wide range of personalization options.

Apart from Turbo and Turbo Executive, the German automaker is also gearing up to extend its Panamera lineup with Turbo S E-hybrid and Sport Turismo. The Sport Turismo will be a station wagon which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. Other variants like Panamera Diesel, Diesel S, E-Hybrid, and 4S could also be made available in the country, looking at the demand and success of the existing range.
