2017 Nissan Micra Makes A Global Debut

First revealed as Sway concept, the 2017 Nissan Micra has been finally shaped for the production. Before the gates are open of 2016 Paris Motor Show for the general public, the Japanese automaker has introduced its updated 2017 Nissan Micra which has entered its fifth generation. Looking at the new Micra, it is quite clear that it resembles to the concept which was showcased at the 2015 Geneva Motor show and follows the company’s latest design language.

The new Micra now measures 3995 mm X 1742 mm X 1452 mm (L X W X H) which is 170 mm longer, 77 mm wider and 69 mm shorter than the existing version. 2017 Nissan Micra features a V-motion grille, boomerang-shaped lights, floating roof, C-Pillar integrated rear door handles and extended roofline merging at the spoiler. The new Micra will be available in 10 trendy color options with exterior as well as interior customization leading to 125 different options for the car. This means the new Nissan Micra will be now more personalized than ever. At sides, the notable changes include 17-inch wheels, that gives Micra a whole new sporty touch and character lines flowing from the bonnet to the rear in a smooth manner.

In the cabin, 5.0-inch screen for the instrument panel, 7.0-inch full color infotainment system with satellite navigation and Apple CarPlay and 6-Speaker Bose Personal sound system is there, which will surely attract the audiophiles in an efficient manner. It looks like this is the answer to Harman Kardon music system that are now started featuring in some of the Ford and Tata cars. Under the hood configuration will include three engine options – 0.9-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. The power figures will vary from 73 – 90 hp.

The 2017 Nissan Micra will be built at the Renault’s plant in France and first it will go on sale in Europe in early 2017. For Indian market, the manufacturer has not revealed any plans yet.
