2017 Hyundai i30 Wagon Revealed Ahead Of Its Debut


After releasing the teaser of the next-generation i30 Wagon, the South Korean automaker has revealed the Wagon before its premiere. The 2017 Hyundai i30 Wagon will make its debut at the Geneva International Auto Show next month. Based on the ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0’ design, the 2017 i30 reflects elegance and sophistication in an effective manner.

The wagon is not only stylish but practical as well. According to the Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor Europe, the 2017 i30 Wagon possess a timeless design that does not miss on versatility. The front of the 2017 Hyundai i30 Wagon is similar to the hatchback version which consists of sleek headlights, signature cascading grille and faux side air vents. At the back, the Wagon is slightly altered and accommodate larger boot space with extended glass area. The boot space of the Wagon measures 602 litres with second-row seats up. The boot volume can be stretched up to 1,650 litres with second-row seats down.

The overall dimensions of the 2017 Hyundai i30 Wagon measure 4,585 mm x 1,795 mm X 1,465 mm (L X W X H) and the wheelbase stand at 2,650 mm. This is same as that of a standard five-door hatchback. The images of the 2017 i30 Wagon are not released yet but the features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment at the centre with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a wireless charging system will surely gain your attention.

Under the hood, the 2017 Hyundai i30 Wagon will be offered with three engine options – 1.0-litre T-GDI with 120 PS maximum power, 1.4-litre T-GDI with 140 PS maximum power and 1.6-litre with three power ratings – 95 PS, 110 PS and 133 PS. The safety features include autonomous emergency braking, high beam assist, lane keep assist, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot detector and speed limiter.
