After much anticipation and a series of teaser images, the Japanese automaker has finally revealed the sporty, aggressive and advanced 2017 Honda Civic hatchback. 2017 Civic hatchback is yet to make a launch in the different markets and before that the manufacturer has revealed the hatchback at just the right time before it will be available for sale in September. The Civic hatchback shares the styling cues with its sedan and coupe sibling and is already available for sale in North America.

The undisguised Civic hatch has been spotted several times before and will be built at Honda’s Swindon plant prior to being exported to other markets. The particular plant will be also producing future Civic Tourer and Type R models, although these models are yet to make their debut globally. The 2017 Honda Civic available in US market is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine while for other markets it might be offered with a choice between 1.0-litre and 1.4-litre petrol motors. 2017 Civic is set to be launched in different markets later this year and a hybrid version is also in line, as stated by officials of Honda UK.

The particular model will be also a base for the next Civic Type-R towards the end of its production life-cycle. Once launched, the 2017 Honda Civic hatchback will compete against Hyundai i30 and both these models will be showcased in the Paris Motor Show in September. For Indian market, Honda has postponed the plan of launching Civic to 2019 and will be offered with only sedan body style. If Hyundai launches its i30 in India, then to compete in the particular segment, Honda India might launch its Civic hatchback.
