2017 Chevrolet Cruze Launched In China

It seems like it is the season of facelifts and new generation models, as each automaker is on a spree to upgrade its fleet with latest models. Similarly, the American auto giant, GM has launched its 2017 Chevrolet Cruze in China. The Indian bound 2017 Cruze is quite similar to the North American-spec model and the manufacturer has offered it in seven trim levels. For Indian market, the all-new 2017 Cruze will be tagged at a starting price of INR 11,02,784 and the top variant will touch INR 17,04,850.

The new Cruze has received a series of changes in its styling as well as features and all for the good. The 2017 Cruze now measures 4666 mm in length, which is 99 mm more than the existing model. Similarly, the width measures 1807 (+ 21 mm) and height measures 1460 mm (+6 mm). The wheelbase has also received an increment of 38 mm, measuring 2700 mm, leading to an improved cabin space. As, the Indian market will soon receive the all-new Hyundai Elantra, and Honda Civic, Chevrolet has introduced its contender at just the right time.

The second-generation Chevrolet Cruze is among the five new models, which the manufacturer will introduce in the Indian market. The rest of the four include next-gen Chevrolet Beat, Chevrolet Essentia, Chevrolet Beat Activ and Trailblazer facelift. Talking about the powertrain of the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, it will be equipped with 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 147 hp power and 240 Nm peak torque. Further, it is coupled with 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

2017 Chevrolet Cruze will also be offered with the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine with power figures measuring 112 hp and peak torque measuring 146 Nm. But, this time it will be offered with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
